England

History, familiarity, and a city that runs like clockwork.

After six weeks in Morocco, arriving in England felt familiar.

The roads made sense.

The language was familiar.

And for the first time in a while, everything felt easy.

But London wasn't quite what we expected.

It was bigger.

Busier.

And far more impressive than any photo had prepared us for.

Everywhere we looked there was history. Palaces, cathedrals, bridges, monuments and landmarks we'd seen countless times in books, movies and documentaries were suddenly right in front of us.

The kids recognised places before we did.

And despite the crowds, the rain and the eye-watering prices, there was something special about experiencing them together as a family.

Our time in England was short, but it marked an important moment in our journey.

It was the end of our European adventure and the beginning of the next chapter.

From Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge to train rides across the city and a rainy Changing of the Guard, London delivered exactly what we'd hoped for.

A chance to step into history and see one of the world's most iconic cities for ourselves.
